Risks and cautions
- Nausea is very common and was the main reason for discontinuation in trials.
- Transient increases in blood pressure and decreases in heart rate; contraindicated in uncontrolled hypertension or known cardiovascular disease.
- Can cause darkening of skin and gums with repeated use.
